Big Wall Climbing Skills, March 2018, Joe

“Had a fantastic day… learning some key techniques for big walling. Really made us feel like we could achieve what we wanted. Super friendly and a very good teacher. Five stars and highly recommended.”

Cliff camping, April 2018, Namtan

“The whole experience is so well thought through and carefully put together, they have thought of everything. Highly recommended.”

Private rock guiding, March 2018, Laura K

What impressed you most about Gaia Adventures? “The level of expertise of the instructor and his ability to instruct in a way that was very clear and easy to understand. Also the enthusiasm and positive attitude of the instructor.”

Climbing and cliff camping, May 2017, Dave H

“I was pleased with the intuitive perception of our instructor… who tailored the climbing tuition/experience to meet our needs exactly and help/inspire us to move on.”

Family Climbing, July 2017, Clive

“We all had great fun and now my kids can’t wait to do more climbing. I would highly recommend Gaia, Sam was superb and the day was a real highlight in our holiday.”

Learn to lead, August 2017, Izzy

“Will was super calm and reassuring and pitched the climbs exactly to our level. We both felt really safe and learnt a lot, as well as being pushed to do some difficult climbs which was great. It was an amazing 3 days.”

Cliff Camping, Summer 2017, Chris

“…bring a smaller, lightweight bag, for taking down to the ledge… Friendly instructors…always close enough, to pop down to the ledge and help. Providing calm and helpful instructions with the climbing, and ensuring all is safe and enjoyable for us. Nothing too much trouble. Great outdoor food…loved the bacon baps!”

Charity Abseiling event, February 2016, Jon from The National Trust
“The manner of instructors with those taking part – particularly with nervous first timers [impressed us most]. Well done!”

Cliff Camping, March 2016, Harry
“Because we are climbers, I had doubts that we would learn anything, but our instructor sam made sure that we not only had a great time, but that we gained something from the experience as well. Very well thought out and organised, will definitely be back…”

Louise, Family Climbing 2015
“I would just like to say that my neice and I both had a fantastic day on Weds 17th with Will. He was a great guide and superb company as well, plus being hugely supportive to my neice on her first real climbing experience, and a multi pitch to boot.”

Multipitch climbing and scrambling intro, June 2015, Alastair
“Spent a couple of days scrambling and climbing with Sam and Will. Great experience and I now have the climbing bug. They both have a great depth of knowledge and are really helpful. If you’re looking to get outdoors and learn some great skills and get a better understanding of the area these are the guys to hook up with.”

Family mountaineering, July 2015, MountainMan
Excellent! This was our second trip with Gaia Adventures – and we will be back again – because there are three things that we really rate highly:

(1) the Gaia team are super-safe and super-skilled,

(2) we can work with Gaia before we meet to plan a very personalised, bespoke session and

(3) the Gaia team are very adaptable so that we can do family sessions with different ages and abilities.

Cliff Camping, September 2015, Eleanor
“The fact it’s a one of a kind experience.”

Cliff Camping, September 2015, Vic

Lead Climbing / Big Wall Basics, November 2015, Edward
“Both Sam and Will were personable and proactive. They were enthusiastic about our goals. The delivery of information was concise and informative. Sam encouraged self guided learning and also allowed us to explore ideas. The course was focused on the learner.”

Damian and Sarah, Frist Moves 2015
“We both thought Will was a outstanding instructor, he was very informative and made us feel very safe. We would definitely enjoy climbing with Will.”

Cliff Camping, July 2015, Bennett
“I arranged a cliff camping overnight experience as a surprise for my wife’s birthday. My son also has a fantastic head for heights and so he also slept the night on the “ledge” and what a night they had. Thanks to Sam for looking after them so well – a night to remember.”
